NE18 - Punggol Coast

The North East Line extension (NELe) was unveiled to the public during the Land Transport Master Plan 2013. Plans then had indicated for a northward extension of the NEL to be completed by 2025. Subsequently, the Land Transport Authority announced Punggol Coast station officially on 7 June 2017.

The contract for construction of the twin bored tunnels to the station was awarded to China State Construction Engineering Corporation on 8 December 2017, with work to commence in 2018. Punggol Coast station will feature 2 exits and be integrated with the Singapore Institute of Technology campus which is sited in the Punggol Digital District.
